Meth Manufacturing Charges

There are many ways individuals can be charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine (meth). In obvious cases, law enforcement may find pans coated with traces of meth. However, in cases where such evidence is missing, there is still potential for meth charges.

In recent years, legislators have become more astute in providing laws addressing those individuals caught with materials for the production of meth like acetone and large quantities of cold medicine. Possession of these materials alone would normally cause no suspicion, but large quantities or certain combinations of materials create greater suspicion.

Additional Charges and Consequences

Manufacturing methamphetamine (meth) is a dangerous situation. In many cases, an individual rents a house in a residential neighborhood to "cook meth." Not only are the fumes dangerous for those in the home and the surrounding area, the practice of selling meth involves a great deal of danger as well. Often prosecutors will look to bring charges of child endangerment as well.

Consequences of this are:

  • Fines: The fines for these cases can be thousands of dollars
  • Incarceration: In meth manufacturing cases, individuals face multiple years in prison.
